Patrolman Richard (Rick) Spaulding, 49, of the Portsmouth, Virginia Police Department died of a heart attack on November 23rd shortly after he had been involved in a vehicle and foot pursuit.
Patrolman Spaulding had served his agency for 6 years as a full time officer and 3 years as an auxiliary officer. He is survived by his wife, two children and one grandchild.
